Rights Watch International (RWI) is recognized as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization for U.S. federal income tax purposes.  There are no limitations per transaction or annually for contributions made to RWI.  Donations to RWI generally are tax deductible.  For a donation of less than $250, please retain proof of your payment from your bank or credit card company as that is typically adequate to support your contribution for income tax purposes.  For donations of $250 or more, RWI will mail an acknowledgement of your gift after your donation is processed (usually the next weekend or two after processing), which should be retained with proof of payment for your income tax records.  If you do not receive an acknowledgement, please email RWI with a reminder.  Please note this is not income tax advice and RWI and no person associated with RWI is a tax advisor.  Please refer to the IRS's guidance regarding substantiation of charitable contributions and/or your personal tax advisor for advice specific to your situation.
